LS Frais was founded back in July 1994. It started out slicing and packaging the products from the Ardennes produced by Larden Salaisons, its affiliate at the time.

In the intervening years, the company has become independent and has realised major growth in terms of its product range and its slicing and packaging offering.

Today LS Frais is ready to face the future with an ambitious programme aimed at securing a benchmark position in slicing and packaging of charcuterie products.

Key dates:

  • July 1994: founding of the company
  • March 1997: first exports
  • December 2000: ISO 9001 certification version 2000 
  • April 2001: relocation of Larden Salaisons, leaving LS Frais to occupy the whole production site
  • March 2002: Frank Mestdagh, managing shareholder 
  • August 2003: BRC Standard accreditation
  • October 2004: first SIAL participation
  • November 2005 : creation of the second cleanroom (to separate raw and cooked products) + acquisition of the fourth slicingline
  • April 2006 : BRC Version 4 level A accreditation
  • 4 mars 2008 : acquisition of the fifth slicingline
  • May 2010 : BRC level 5 accreditation + bio + Colruyt
  • November 2010 : acquisition of the sixth slicingline
  • March 2014 : acquisition of the seventh slicingline
